LLumar architectural film · commercial

From solar control to security. One lineup.

LLumar's architectural lineup covers everything a commercial building actually needs from window film — solar control, safety + security, anti-graffiti, and decorative branding. We pick the right product line for your facade and quote the install.

Solar control

Cut heat. Cut glare. Keep the view.

Nano-ceramic and dual-reflective films absorb infrared and reflect heat back outside. Most buildings see a 25–30% drop in cooling load, with payback in 2–4 cooling seasons. Tinted, neutral, or near-clear options so the building keeps its existing facade aesthetic.

Safety + security

Holds the glass when something hits it.

Clear polyester safety film bonded to the inside surface of your glass. Slows forced-entry attacks, contains glass during severe weather, and meets ASTM 1886 / CPSC 16 CFR 1201 standards. Available in 4, 8, 14, and 16 mil thicknesses depending on threat level.

Anti-graffiti

Sacrificial layer that takes the hit instead of your glass.

Clear film applied to the outside of high-exposure storefronts and bathroom mirrors. When it gets tagged, etched, or scratched, we peel and replace the film instead of replacing the glass. Saves thousands per incident.

Replaceable Etch / spray / scratch
Decorative + branding

Frosted, patterned, and printed glass — without replacing the glass.

Conference-room privacy, storefront branding, logo cutouts, gradient frost, custom patterns. Goes on existing glass in a single visit. Removable when the lease ends or the brand changes.

Frost / gradient Custom print Removable
Safety + security

Spec the right thickness for the threat.

Safety/security film thickness is measured in mils (1/1000 of an inch). Heavier film resists more force, but every grade significantly upgrades the smash-and-grab response of standard annealed glass — and contains shattered glass during severe weather or impact events.

All LLumar safety film meets ASTM E1886 / E1996 impact + cyclic-pressure standards. 8-mil and up meet GSA Level C blast mitigation for federal-grade installations.

4 MIL
Standard safety

Daily wear-and-tear. Reduces glass shards if a pane breaks.

8 MIL
Smash-and-grab

Most popular for retail + storefronts. Slows forced entry significantly.

14 MIL
Severe-impact

Bomb-blast mitigation tier. Federal, schools, high-target facilities.

Commercial ROI

Most buildings pay film back in two to four cooling seasons.

LLumar's nano-ceramic + dual-reflective films cut solar heat gain by up to 80%. For a typical 5,000 sq ft west-facing St. Louis office, that's roughly $1,200-$3,500/yr in lower cooling costs - plus longer-lasting interior finishes.
